Here is my family at the Tweetsie Railroad between Boone and Blowing Rock, NC. Looks like they might be heading for San Francisco. Watch out, Blue Duck!

Laughing to myself, here, as your family, photographed in the East are imagined as possibly heading to California. My own souvenir “frontiersman” period portrait, taken aboard the anchored Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, seems to be attired to head back east, to at least Kentucky, with it’s fringed leather jacket, coonskin cap and powder horn. Very strange world out there!
